SUPERVISED CONTACT INCLUDING WRITTEN REPORT
Supervised Contact is provided where it is assessed that there might be a higher risk or greater complexity in a family’s circumstance. These sessions will be supervised and observed by staff and a written report will be included. Staff will remain within sight and sound of children at all times.
SESSIONS ARE SUPPORTED WITHOUT OBSERVATION
Supported Contact allows children of separated parents to enjoy contact with their non-resident parents. Our staff will be present to give support but do not observe/take notes. This contact takes place if trust has broken down or communication is difficult, and the level of risk is low.
THE HANDOVER OF A CHILD BETWEEN PARENTS
The centre is used for a short period as a drop off / pick up point. This enables the child to move from one parent to the other within our Centre, without actually needing to use the Contact Centre to spend time with the child. This service is used when parents are not willing / able to meet.
WRITING / SENDING LETTERS, CARDS AND GIFTS
Indirect contact takes place where direct contact is unsafe, unworkable or not in the child’s best interests. Activities include sending letters, cards or gifts. We are able to support this process/give our advice.
FACILITATION OF VIRTUAL CONTACT VIA CALLS OR FACETIME
We facilitate supervised virtual contact sessions for children and their families. These are carried out via Skype, Zoom, Teams or other video messaging softwares. A written report will be included.
MEETING OUT AN ABOUT
Community Contact takes place in different locations like restaurants, shopping centres, cinemas or soft play centres. Our Centre can arrange this and our staff are available to escort the child and parent for memorable days out.
